Deaf Parenting UK is looking for an effective Coordinator/ Admin officer to set up Deaf Parenting Mentoring courses in Bristol area. This include finding suitable venue, working closely with social services and health services, encouraging referrals and securing Deaf parents places onto the course. In addition, you will need to support the Deaf trainer in running the workshop session every week for a 12weeks course.
Ideally, the person be based in Bristol area or nearby and have excellent BSL skills. We encourage Deaf people to apply too.
The candidate is expected to start ASAP, pending on the CRB check and satisfactory references, and to commence the work ready for September 2012 course (12weeks) start with view of extending to other projects (subject to fundings)

Our Criteria – You must have the following skills:
• Excellent organisational skills
• Efficient in administration skills
• Excellent IT skills including flyers, publicity
• Excellent outreach skills in identifying and reaching out Deaf parents with children age 0-18yrs
• Excellent report skills including feedback to the project board.
• Enthusiastic and committed to the project
• Willing to travel across Bristol area
